You can win:
If you've already registered, you already qualify. If you haven't yet, you can register below or at our GO TO THE SHOW page!
Geek Media Expo is first and foremost: BY the fans, FOR the fans! We strive to create new and exciting events for our attendees each year, but this is only possible when our passionate and geeky attendees step up to the plate to take part and make it happen! We encourage fans who are passionate about any particular geekdom to not only attend and have fun, but also to contribute to our programming!
If you've attended GMX and thought "I really wish there was a panel about [blank]," apply to do it. We double dare you! If you think you and your friends have a great idea for a fun, interactive event that would go well at GMX, do it! If we like it enough, we may be able to help you make it 10x better than you ever imagined!
While we enjoy discussion panels, this year we're also looking for more innovative and hands-on events. More show than tell. If you've got an exciting way in presenting your content to your audience, let us know. Need to get your brain juices flowing? Here are some examples:
- Example 1: If you've built a 3D printer, don't just read a step-by-step instruction on how you did it, show us in person. Take questions and let the audience be part of the demonstration. Let people touch the thing.
- Example 2: You want to have an actual Star Trek vs. Star Wars debate? Make it a real debate, complete with teams, moderators, debate rules, and a non-partial (if that's even possible) scorekeeper.
- Example 3: You're one of our amazing cosplayers. Show us how you did it. Let people get hands on with your tools and props. Let people feel the fabrics they should use and what a good vacuum-formed mold looks like.
- Example 4: Your industry or central focus is doing something new and awesome to change the future. Showcase this before an eager-to-learn crowd and discuss together what impact this will have for geekdom everywhere.
Are you ready? Do you have something you're burning to talk about? Then apply to run an event at GMX!

We gave a sneak peek of this guest at our booth at MTAC, and now here she is again: Teal Sherer of The Guild, My Gimpy Life, and Elf Sabers.
Teal Sherer is an actress best known for playing Venom in Felicia Day's The Guild and for creating the online comedy series My Gimpy Life, which earned her the Best Female Comedy Performance Award from the International Academy of Web Television this year. She also created and stars in the popular YouTube videos Elf Sabers and Oracle Addresses the DC Comics Reboot. Her first role in a feature film was in 2004, in Kenneth Branagh's film Warm Springs alongside Cynthia Nixon, Kathy Bates, Branagh himself, and Felicia Day.
If you missed its debut during MTAC, you're in luck. We are happy to present to you a video created specifically to honor geekdom in all its many forms, "God Made a Geek."

Join us at ConNooga (in Hotel III's Suite 1017) as we host a Blue-themed party BLUE LOUNGE AFTER DARK.
Our lovely co-host, Ms ConNooga will be conjuring up some yummy blue libations, we'll have some blue goodies, you can dance yourself blue on our bottom-lit dance risers, groove to some tunes and we will set the mood with some "blue movies"!
Our Tron party a couple of years ago was legendary! This one is even bigger and better!
You must be 18+ to enter and 21+ to drink. This will be strictly enforced, and violators will be turned over to con security.
